USB Type-C Cable Specifications and Angle Selection
USB Type-C Cable with Straight and 90-Degree Connector Options
BC-DAC023 is a USB-C male-to-male cable range for equipment that needs a deliberate cable exit direction. Five straight and angled combinations let you plan connections beside a display, behind a workstation, or between components in a compact enclosure.
The series supports up to 10Gbps data and is rated for 60W at 20V/3A. It supports up to 4K60Hz video with a compatible source and display path. Choose the connector geometry based on the installed equipment, then confirm the required operating mode and selected length.

The power rating applies to the five listed combinations. Maximum data, charging, and display specifications are not a promise of simultaneous operation at every maximum or compatibility with every USB-C device.
Start with the Direction the Cable Must Leave the Port
Use the straight-to-straight version where both ports have room for the plug and a natural cable curve. Select a single angled end when only one device has a nearby wall, cover, or adjacent connection. The two double-angle options help when you need to control cable routes at both ends.
Side-angle and up/down-angle describe different connector planes. They aren’t interchangeable just because both turn 90 degrees. The same connector can also appear to point a different way after you flip the reversible USB-C plug. Specify the port view and include an installed-orientation photo when selecting the model.
Keep Space for the Housing and Strain Relief
An angled plug can reduce space in one direction while taking up more space in another. Check the molded housing against neighboring ports, device cases, and mounting hardware. Allow enough room for the strain relief and for someone to remove the plug by its housing.
For display installations, make this check with the bracket and rear cover fitted. For a short inter-device connection, measure the routed distance rather than the direct distance between sockets. If the cable needs to reverse back along the device, consider the U-shaped USB-C cable range instead of forcing a 90-degree connector into that route.
Use the 60W Rating to Select the Power Application
The confirmed electrical rating is 20V/3A, giving up to 60W. Charging depends on the compatible source and receiving device negotiating an appropriate power level. The cable does not raise the output of a lower-power source and should not be ordered as a 5A, 100W, or 240W cable.
A laptop with a higher original charger rating may charge differently at 60W. Provide device and power-source references if charging during operation matters. The project requirement is the power the actual equipment needs, not simply whether a USB-C plug fits.
Specify the Data or Display Task
A USB 10Gbps link needs a host and peripheral that support that mode. The figure describes signaling capability, while storage, software, and workload affect usable transfer speed. The correct designation for this listed data rate is USB 3.2 Gen 2, not 20Gbps Gen 2×2.
For video, the source USB-C port must support a suitable display output. This cable cannot convert a USB-C socket used only for charging or data into a video output. Include the monitor, dock if present, resolution, refresh rate, and concurrent USB requirements in the sample evaluation. For other display-focused constructions, compare the USB-C monitor cable.
Build an Order Specification That Installers Can Use
Send the BC-DAC023 model code, required length, quantity, and photos of both ports. Add your data, charging or display requirements, and any labeling or individual packing instructions. We can review the proposed construction and sample requirements before quotation and bulk supply.
Use a drawing or approved sample to fix the angle orientation. Connector shape alone does not establish waterproofing, vibration retention, continuous-flex service, or a safety-critical equipment qualification. Describe those requirements separately if they are part of the project.
Request a quote for your straight or angled USB-C configuration, or compare other constructions in the USB-C cable collection.
Five Straight and Angled Cable Configurations
Match the connector plane and cable route at both ends. Use the model code and drawing together when specifying an angled assembly.

P/N: BC-DAC023-S
Straight connectors at both ends provide a simple route, with enough clearance for the housing and cable curve at each socket. Select the length with installation and removal access in mind. This BC-DAC023 configuration shares the series rating of 60W at 20V/3A.

P/N: BC-DAC023-R
A straight connector pairs with a side-angle end for equipment that needs a lateral cable exit from one port. Check the selected orientation against neighboring sockets and the device case. Supply an installed-port photo when the words left or right do not define the route clearly.

P/N: BC-DAC023-D
Use a straight-up/down arrangement when the restricted connection needs to turn in a different plane than the side-angle model. Compare the housing drawing with the assembled equipment. Leave space for the molded strain relief instead of pulling the cable sharply behind the plug.

P/N: BC-DAC023-RL
Side-angle connectors at both ends suit layouts where both cable exits must follow a planned lateral route. Confirm the relative orientation of the two ports before ordering. Keep the exact model, length, and approved sample reference together for repeat equipment-kit supply.

P/N: BC-DAC023-DU
Up/down-angle connectors at both ends provide another routing option for paired devices or compact assemblies. Review each housing against the surrounding equipment, including cases and covers. Validate the selected length with the required data, charging, or display function before approving a deployment.
Compare Connector Footprints Before Ordering
The right angle is the one that works with your installed equipment. Compare the straight and angled housing drawings with nearby sockets, covers, and the space available for the cable to leave the connector.
If the direction is difficult to describe, send a photo with the preferred route marked. We can review the model and length with you before you approve a sample for an equipment build or repeat order.

Send a sketch of both ends and the required cable route. We can review feasibility, tooling, and sample requirements. A requested combination is not confirmed merely because its individual connector shapes appear elsewhere in the range.
Do not assume that an angled housing or PVC jacket establishes a continuous-flex rating. Provide the travel, bend conditions, and expected cycles so we can review a suitable construction and qualification plan. No universal minimum bend radius is stated for every custom version.
Mark the measurement reference points on the drawing and include tolerances, routing allowances, and connector orientation. Also send the required operating mode. Review the proposed length and performance before accepting the custom version for production.
Include the required labels, artwork, quantity per kit, and packing format in the inquiry. We can review these alongside the model and length list. Approve the identification and packing specifications with the sample so installers can distinguish similar angled versions.

Reducing Angle-Selection Errors in an Equipment Build
Two cables can have the same electrical rating yet create different installation work. A connector that points into an adjacent socket can require rerouting, a longer cable, or a late change to the equipment layout. Resolve the physical arrangement before placing the bulk order.
Use one viewing convention
Photograph the equipment in its installed position and identify the host and device ends. Mark the required cable exit on each photograph. This is more reliable than exchanging a left-angle description without agreeing on the viewing direction.
Compare the complete installation
Evaluate the shortlisted model with neighboring plugs, covers, and mounting brackets in place. Include the space needed to insert and remove the connector. A smaller projection behind a device helps only if it doesn’t obstruct another port or complicate maintenance.
Avoid unnecessary extra connections
If a correctly angled cable provides the required route, it can avoid adding a separate rigid adapter solely to change direction. Compare total assembly and service requirements, not just the individual cable price. Do not assume either arrangement performs identically without checking the intended equipment.
Give the assembly team an unambiguous reference
Record the model code, length, connector orientation, and approved sample. Where several similar cables enter one kit, use a packing list or agreed identification scheme to distinguish positions. Review these details when a device revision changes the port location, even if the electrical requirement is unchanged.
