Position the USB-A Socket Where Your Accessory Needs It

USB-C OTG Cable — 0.15m USB-C to USB-A Female

A short OTG lead gives a flash drive, receiver, or accessory cable room to sit beside the host rather than projecting directly from it. BC-DAC014 connects a USB-C host to one USB-A peripheral and is available with aluminum housings and nylon braid, straight PVC connectors, or a right-angle PVC USB-C plug.

For an OEM accessory bundle or a compact workstation, choose the connector exit and exterior that suit the actual arrangement. Send a photo of the host port and the intended accessory if you are unsure which version is the best starting point.

Choose a Construction Around the Route

The braided versions offer an aluminum connector exterior and finish options for a coordinated equipment kit. The straight PVC version provides a conventional cable exit. The right-angle PVC version changes the direction at the USB-C end, which can help when a straight plug would project into limited space.

A right-angle plug must still clear the device shell and protective case. Check the cable exit direction against neighboring ports and the position where the device will be used. A short lead can reduce rigid projection, but it does not protect the socket from an unsupported heavy accessory or a strong pull.

Use the USB-C End at a Compatible Host

Connect the USB-C plug to the host and the USB-A female end to a supported peripheral. Phones and tablets need USB host capability and software support for the accessory. Computers also need drivers for peripherals the operating system doesn’t support directly.

For external storage, review file-system support and available host power. Some drives need an independent power source or a powered hub. This single-port cable isn’t a hub and doesn’t enable network sharing, add storage-management software, or turn two computers into a supported direct data link.

Match the Data Rate to the Whole Connection

The listed USB 3.2 Gen 2 configuration supports a link rate up to 10Gbps. The host, peripheral, and any additional cable must support the same rate to use that capability. Actual file transfer also depends on the storage device, workload, and software; the cable rating does not guarantee sustained copy speed.

When requesting a different length, include the required data rate and equipment references. Changing length or connector construction requires reviewing the complete assembly rather than assuming every custom option performs identically.

Understand the Power and Video Functions

The host supplies power to the USB-A accessory within its supported limits. BC-DAC014 has no separate charging inlet and is not advertised here as a 60W USB PD pass-through cable. If your project requires a particular power arrangement, provide the source and receiving-device specifications for review.

The USB-A connection does not carry native DisplayPort Alt Mode video. A USB display device requires its own conversion electronics and compatible software. This OTG cable alone does not replace a direct USB-C monitor connection.

Specify the Assembly for Repeat Supply

Quote the model, length, jacket style, and connector orientation together. For custom work, we can discuss finish, marking, and packaging with the selected assembly. Agree on the final drawing and sample before production, including how we measure length and which direction the angled plug must face.

If you do not need the flexible section, compare our rigid USB-C OTG adapters. Browse the USB-C product collection for other connector arrangements.

USB C OTG Cable PVC Black

P/N: BC-DAC014-PBS

Straight black PVC version for a conventional cable exit from the USB-C host. The 0.15m lead provides a nearby USB-A accessory connection without a long cable run. Review connector clearance and the intended packaging format for your bulk or OEM requirements.

USB C OTG Cable PVC Black & Right Angle

P/N: BC-DAC014-PBR

Right-angle USB-C plug with a black PVC lead for routing beside a host device. This version reduces straight-out projection in tight spaces. Check the cable exit direction, case recess, and nearby ports with the actual equipment before approving the configuration.

Review Connector Size Along with the 0.15m Lead

A short, flexible section needs space for the connector bodies at both ends. Compare the selected model’s drawing with the host recess and the area where the USB-A accessory will sit. Overall reach is not the same as free cable length.

Use the drawing for your chosen construction rather than assuming the straight and angled versions have identical dimensions. When requesting a custom length, include your preferred measurement points so the sample can be reviewed against the installation, not just a nominal number.

Can braided and PVC versions be included in one quotation?

Yes, you can submit the model codes and quantities together for review. We will confirm availability and commercial terms for each construction. If the cables are for separate kits, include the desired grouping and identification so the packing proposal matches your assembly process.

Can you review a sample installation before a bulk order?

You can request a sample quotation for evaluation with your equipment. Provide the selected model, host and peripheral references, and any fit requirements. Sample cost, availability, and timing are confirmed in the quotation; approval should cover the actual connection and route.

How should we specify labels or branded packaging?

Send the required text, artwork, and packing format with the model and quantity. We can review suitable identification options for the selected housing and cable. Agree on the location and sample appearance before production, particularly when short leads leave little usable marking space.

What information helps you prepare an OEM quotation?

Send the selected model, required length, expected quantity, and host/peripheral references. Add any marking, packaging, or compliance-document requirements. If the installation is still being developed, a port-area photo and rough route measurements are useful starting points; we can agree on final production details after sample review.

Can I request custom lengths?

Yes, we can review custom lengths for an OEM requirement. Provide the desired measurement points, target data rate, connector orientation, and quantity. We will confirm availability, sample requirements, and performance at the requested length for the proposed assembly, rather than assuming them from the 0.15m version.

How to Specify a Short OTG Lead for a Compact Installation

With a short cable, small changes in connector length and exit direction can noticeably affect fit. For a tablet fixture, service tool, or accessory bundle, define the route before treating 0.15m as a complete specification.

Agree where the length starts and ends

State whether the requested length is measured tip-to-tip, between connector bodies, or along the exposed flexible section. These are different dimensions. A drawing should identify the measurement points and any agreed tolerance so the sample and production order use the same definition.

Show the angled plug in the installed view

A label such as right-angle does not fully describe how a cable will sit beside a device. Include a photo or drawing of the host with the USB-C plug inserted and show the intended cable route. Check the adjacent socket, protective case, and mounting bracket together, especially when the lead must turn immediately after the connector.

Leave the accessory end supported

You can position the female USB-A end beside the host, but don’t let a heavy accessory hang from the short lead. Plan a resting position or suitable support that does not crush the jacket. Avoid forcing a sharp bend at either connector or using a tight cable tie as a strain-relief substitute.

Evaluate the setup in its normal position

Test the selected host and peripheral with the case, stand, or fixture installed. Check insertion, removal, detection, and the intended workload. Move the equipment only as it will normally be used and look for tension or interference with controls. If the host or accessory changes, review the route and compatibility again.

Keep the drawing and sample aligned

For repeat supply, retain the approved model, length definition, exit direction, jacket and marking details. If you propose a construction change, compare it with the reference sample rather than accepting it solely because the connectors match. Record any requested test or documentation requirements with the purchase specification.

We can start with your installation photo and approximate route. From there, the quotation and sample review can establish a short OTG assembly that is practical to fit, identify, and reorder.
