USB-C Cable U Shape
Route a USB-C connection back alongside your equipment with the BC-DAC024 U-shaped cable. Four connector combinations help you match the cable path at both ends.
- USB-C male to USB-C male
- Straight, side-angle, up/down-angle, or dual-U combination
- 0.3m, 0.6m, 1m and 1.8m lengths
- Up to 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 data
- 60W at 20V/3A across all four combinations
- Up to 4K60Hz with compatible video equipment
- Black PVC molding and jacket
Send photos of both ports and the desired route for configuration and quotation review.
U-Shaped USB-C Cable Specifications and Selection
U-Shaped USB-C Cable for Compact Return-Routing Connections
A straight plug can’t reach the space you need at a wall, enclosure, or next to another component. The BC-DAC024 U-shaped USB-C cable turns the cable route back alongside the connected equipment. Choose a straight, side-angle, up/down-angle, or second U-shaped connector at the other end.
All four combinations share a confirmed 60W rating at 20V/3A. The series supports USB 10Gbps data and up to 4K60Hz video with compatible equipment. First, ensure the return path clears the device edge and protective case—don’t just choose the shortest-looking connector.

Data rate, charging power, and video mode depend on the connected equipment. These maximum specifications do not establish simultaneous operation at every maximum. Identify the intended combination when requesting samples.
Where a 180-Degree Return Helps
The U-shaped end is useful when the cable needs to return along the same side of a device rather than project directly away from its socket. Potential applications include compact workstation equipment, display installations, and device fixtures with a defined cable channel.
Check the distance from the USB-C socket to the device edge, the case thickness, and the space beneath the return leg. A housing that looks low-profile in isolation can still collide with a raised bezel. Use the product drawing and an installed sample to establish fit; no universal device-thickness allowance is implied.
Choose Both Ends, Not Just the U-Shaped Plug
The S version leaves a straight connection at the opposite device. The R and D versions add a second turn in a different plane. The UU version returns the cable at both ends, which suits two close-mounted devices only when the directions and spacing match the installation.
Angle names depend on the viewing direction. For a clear inquiry, send photos of both ports with the desired cable path marked. Keep the full model code and an approved drawing together so a later order doesn’t substitute an angle that routes the cable into the wrong space.
60W Charging Without a 5A Claim
The series rating is 20V/3A (60W) across all four connector combinations. Actual power is negotiated between a compatible USB-C power source and the receiving device. A 60W cable does not make a lower-power port deliver 60W, and this series should not be specified as a 5A or 100W cable.
State the required charging voltage and device model when ordering. For systems needing more than 60W, review a different configuration in the USB-C fast-charging cable range rather than assuming a change in connector angle raises the power rating.
Match Data and Video to the Equipment
The 10Gbps figure is a signaling capability, not a guaranteed file-copy speed. The host and peripheral must support the corresponding data mode, and application throughput also depends on storage and software. This is not a 20Gbps Gen 2×2 or a certified Thunderbolt cable claim.
For 4K60Hz, the host must provide an appropriate USB-C video output and the receiving display path must support that mode. A charge-only USB-C port does not gain video capability from the cable. Specify the display, any dock, and the concurrent data requirement so the sample evaluation reflects the actual setup.
Plan the Order Around the Installed Route
Choose the length along the intended route with enough allowance for installation and servicing. Do not pull a short cable tight to make the U-shaped housing sit against a device. Support the cable separately where needed; the fixed return housing is not a locking feature or a guarantee against accidental disconnection.
For a quotation, send the model combination, length, quantity, port-area photos, and required data, power, or display function. Include marking and packing requirements if the cable will be supplied with your equipment. We can review the configuration and sample requirements before bulk supply.
Compare alternative constructions in the USB-C cable collection, or send your BC-DAC024 inquiry with the proposed cable route.
Four U-Shaped Cable Combinations
Choose the other-end geometry that matches your installation. All four models are USB-C male-to-male cables rated at 60W (20V/3A).

P/N: BC-DAC024-S
A straight USB-C plug at one end and a U-shaped return at the other suit installations with different clearance needs on each device. Choose the length along the planned route, then check the U-shaped housing against the device edge and case.

P/N: BC-DAC024-R
Pair a side-angle USB-C connection with a U-shaped return when both devices need a controlled cable exit. Confirm the orientation from the model drawing or an installed sample. Left and right descriptions alone may be ambiguous when the viewing direction changes.

P/N: BC-DAC024-D
This combination uses an up/down-angle connector opposite the U-shaped end for routing in a different plane. Review the space around both sockets and the cable path between them. All four BC-DAC024 combinations share the confirmed 60W, 20V/3A power rating.

P/N: BC-DAC024-UU
U-shaped connectors at both ends return the cable alongside both connected devices. Check housing clearance and the relative port positions before choosing this version for a close-mounted assembly. A sample can help establish routing and service access without forcing the cable into place.
Check the Return Clearance Before Choosing a Model
A U-shaped connector changes the cable route, but the housing still needs room around the socket. Compare the connector dimensions with the device edge, case thickness and neighboring connections before selecting a model.
Send the intended cable path and photos of both ports. We can use these details to review the configuration and sample requirements, helping you avoid an angle that fits the connector but not the assembled equipment.

Send a drawing or a port-area photo with the required clearance. A new angle or housing needs a feasibility review and may involve tooling, quantity, and sample requirements. The four listed combinations are fixed shapes; they are not adjustable joints.
Yes, you can submit a target length for review. Define the measurement points, routing allowance, and required functions. Confirm availability and performance for the proposed length; do not assume a custom dimension will retain every listed maximum.
Keep the full model code, length definition, sample or drawing, required functions, and packing specification together. If the device housing, protective case, or port position changes, review the mechanical fit again before repeating the original order.

Approve a U-Shaped Cable with the Equipment Assembled
Useful clearance is the space available after you install the device, case, and mounting hardware. A sample checked on a bare device may fit differently after installation.
Mark the return path
Photograph both ports in their installed orientation. Mark the cable path, including clips, nearby plugs, and any cover that must close. Record the U-shaped housing clearance against the case rather than relying on a general low-profile description.
Leave access for service
Check that an installer can grip the connector housing for removal. Avoid routing that requires pulling on the cable or forcing the return leg against the equipment. If the device moves, establish the required travel and cable support; this product is not automatically qualified for continuous-flex machinery.
Check the intended operating mode
Evaluate the chosen length and both connector orientations with the actual host and peripheral. For a display application, include the specified resolution and refresh rate. For charging, confirm the negotiated voltage and current. Record any concurrent functions so acceptance is based on the intended use rather than separate headline maxima.
Freeze the configuration
Use the approved sample, model code, and installation drawing to define the purchase specification. Include labeling and packaging where the cable ships as part of a kit. This gives purchasing and installation teams the same reference for future orders.
