USB 2.0 Extension Cable: Flexible Short-Distance Connectivity with Angled Options
Move a USB connection to a more convenient position with the BC-DAA012 USB 2.0 extension cable. A Type-A male plug connects to the host, while a female endpoint accepts the peripheral lead. Straight and four angled male options let you choose how the cable leaves a crowded port.
This passive assembly is a practical option for a defined local route, such as an equipment bench, counter, or workstation. Tell us the reach you need and the lead already attached to your device. We can review the length and plug geometry without adding unnecessary active electronics.

Give the Existing Lead Useful Extra Reach
A short extension can relocate a connection from behind a workstation or below a counter to a usable position. Choose the length based on the device’s working area, not just the distance between the computer and the desk edge. Leave enough movement for use without creating a loose loop in a walkway.

Choose an Exit That Clears Nearby Plugs
The straight version suits open space; the angled version can route the cable around an obstruction. Use an installed-port photograph to define the required direction. The angle is fixed in the selected part, and its molded body must still clear adjacent plugs and the equipment bezel.
Keep the Connection Simple
Every extra extension adds cable and contacts to the path. A single correctly sized assembly is easier to identify and evaluate than several short leads joined together. When the route needs active signal extension, review the active USB 2.0 cable instead of assuming another passive section will solve it.

A passive extension has no USB device controller to install. Your peripheral may still require its normal driver or application.
Specify quantities and labels for each orientation. Distinct packing groups make it easier for assembly staff to select the correct part.
Only where USB 2.0 operation meets the equipment requirement. It does not provide the additional SuperSpeed signal paths required for USB 5Gbps operation.
Send the desired color and quantity for review. Use a part number or label as well if the color alone could be confused with another cable.

Choosing a Local USB Extension for Daily Use
Count the Peripheral Lead Too
The extension is only one part of the connection. Include the device’s captive or detachable lead when calculating the total route, and include any hub or adapter in the test setup. A five-meter extension does not guarantee that a longer peripheral cable will work in the required mode.
Use the Device Workload as the Test
Printing a full job, capturing the intended image stream, or running the normal scan sequence provides more useful evidence than a device icon appearing once. For bus-powered peripherals, observe behavior during their highest load as well as idle operation. The cable does not increase the power available from the host or create a charging protocol.
Protect the Female Connection
A free-hanging extension socket can be pulled or knocked during daily use. Place it where it won’t be pulled or knocked, especially when a heavy adapter or dongle is attached. If the receptacle should be fixed to an enclosure, consider the USB 2.0 panel-mount assembly, which addresses mounting rather than merely adding reach.
Define the Variant for Reorders
Record the angle using a port-face view and identify the length measurement in the order. Include the equipment reference, intended peripheral, and quantities. This prevents a small routing change from becoming a different-looking but unsuitable replacement when you purchase the next batch.
