SATA Hard Drive Cable: Reliable Storage Connectivity Solution

Bespokecable offers industrial-grade SATA Hard Drive Cables for high-speed data transfer between motherboards and storage devices. Featuring: Available in Straight, Down Angle, and Up Angle Connectors. Supports SATA III 6 Gbps – Backwards Compatible with SATA II/I Devices. The no-locking-latch style is easy to use and secure at the same time (the cable stays put), making it a practical solution for your system! The high-performance connectors are designed for accurate connections, which greatly reduce loss and keep the current stable with no decay and a tiny return loss.

Design Features

Our SATA Hard Drive Cables feature precision-engineered connections, gold-plated contacts (15 μ thick), and a corrosion-resistant construction that meets the most demanding of your applications. The cables feature two layers of shielding, including high-quality copper-braided shielding and AL foil, for extended protection against EMI. These cables are available in three configurations: straight, down-angle (90° downward), and up-angle (90° upward) for different port orientations. The no-locking-latch contacts use a friction-fit mechanism that provides solid retention while allowing easy insertion and removal. Flexing with less material fatigue and practical cabling choices prevents the wiring from breaking or being damaged. It’s also perfect for tight configurations that include heat-shrink connectors and cables.

Application

These SATA Hard Drive Cables have been tested to meet the high standards set by My Cable Mart. Long and short Description: These SATA hard drive cables offer resistance to noise and interference and are of superior Quality. They are perfect for adding storage to desktop computers or servers, for connecting multiple hard drives to create a high-density solution, and for making more effective use of space in storage applications. They are also excellent choices for industrial PCs and rackmount systems where maximum read/write speed is imperative. The straight connectors are perfect for standard installs with ample clearance, while the 90 Degree leads are ideal for tight spaces, such as board-mounted LEDs or bottom-mounted motherboard connections. The up-angle port configuration applies to top-mounted ports and can also be plugged into an elevated drive bay for added versatility in chassis layout and mounting options.

Quality & Testing

Every single SATA Hard Drive Cable undergoes a 6Gbps signal-integrity test, mating relationship durability testing, and environmental testing (-20 °C to +85 °C). Pull-force tests to verify friction-fit connector retention; impedance-matching & shielding effectiveness, and 5,000+ mating cycles are all performed as part of our quality control process. Extensive batch testing ensured there would be no performance differences among the 3 angle variants, especially in the durability of the angled connectors and the clasp retention force of the friction-fit mechanism.

Customisation Options

We provide customization such as cable length, jacket color, and angle to meet any size or shape required. OEM customers can order specific connector types, special shielding schemes designed for specific environmental challenges, and custom packaging with their company’s logo. We can be flexible on minimums for custom work and offer a prototyping service to ensure the product meets specifications and fits within systems or space.

Installation Guide

  • Find the port direction position on the main board and disk for connection. Optional Cable Angle: Based on the driver, choose to be 90-180 degrees straight.
  • Select a straight connector for a typical parallel port connection.
  • For the mobo ports underneath, choose down-angle connectors.
  • up-angle connector for top-facing or bottom-facing port misalignments.
  • Properly seat the connector on the SATA port.
  • Keep pressing down all the way until the CINI is snug-You will feel a solid “click” once installed as per its friction fit design.
  • Take cable carefully, avoiding sharp turns, particularly in the vicinity of connectors.
  • Prevent any tension from affecting the solder spots.
  • Check for drive detection in the system BIOS or operating system.

User Experience

SATA Hard Drive Cables users are pleased with the cables because they lack a locking latch, making them easy to install and remove. The angled cables are recommended because they prevent clearance issues in small systems that would otherwise require a straight cable bent to a large extent. The other advantage is that several users observed that the cables fitted snugly, and they did not need to worry about the locking mechanisms, and the connection was also strong. System integrators reported saving time during installations of many systems and that the cables could be reused. The choices of straight, down-angle, and up-angle are clearly differentiated, allowing users to select the correct one based on the port orientation, thereby reducing installation errors and enhancing system reliability.

Is there a reason these cables do not come with latch locking?

Specifically, we designed these cables to come without the locking latches for faster installation and servicing, especially in dense environments where multiple drive swaps are common.

Will the connectors stay secure without locking latches?

Yes, the friction-style mating system provides secure connections—yet low insertion force for connectors.

Why use down-angle and up-angle connectors?

Angled connectors aid in installation in tight spaces, and the low-profile angle helps release tension and prevent stress on the line for durability.

Can it be applied to HDD and SSD?

Absolutely. They work with all SATA HDDs and SSDs and support 6Gbps for SSDs.

What's the maximum data transfer speed?

6 Gbps

Are custom lengths available?

Yes, custom goods we can make the length from 10cm to 100cm.

Can we have the samples for quality check?

Yes, you can get a sample for quality checking, and it is free for your own design, but not for OEM design.

What is the minimum order quantity?

500pcs (if your project only needs 50-100 pcs, we also accept this)

How to choose straight, down angle, and up angle latch ends?

Depending on whether your motherboard ports are parallel or perpendicular, at least 3 inch deep clearance is needed.

Can you provide a sample before the bulk order?

Yes, we can send you samples for your testing before offical order.

What’s the SATA Hard Drive Cable you need?

Choosing the right SATA hard drive cable is very important for enabling computers to perform as well as possible, with the highest reliability and longest lifespan. As a manufacturer dedicated to providing industry-leading solutions, we take the confusion and guesswork out of selecting high-quality, affordable storage connectivity so you can thrive in your business.

The available ports and space on your PC are the first to consider. A great choice for connecting the motherboard to a hard drive, and more. Down-Angle SATA Cable. With bottom-mounted motherboard ports and upward-facing SATA ports, you are no longer forced to choose between saving space and keeping your connection. In contrast, the up-angle version is perfect for top-edge ports or raised drive bays. These beveled selections eliminate over-bending that could damage connectors and enable cable management in tightly packed systems.

Second, evaluate your performance requirements. Yes, all of our SATA hard drive cables are backwards compatible with all other Sata speeds, but consider the data you want to transfer. For SSD applications that require higher speeds, be sure the cable includes gold-plated contacts and proper shielding to maintain signal integrity! Our cables are rigorously tested to ensure they meet SATA-IO standards for high-performance data transfer.

Third, you must consider how many times you’ll need to install and maintain. Without locking latches, the friction-fit design is easier to install and remove, making it ideal for systems that need hard drives swapped in and out regularly. This feature eliminates the hassle of stubborn outlet collars that, when untagged, will smooth out over time and then become difficult to lock in.

Also, consider the environmental and compounding compatibility requirements. Our SATA cables operate over a wide temperature range (-20°C to 85°C) and support all SATA releases. For custom applications, we can create virtually any length, color, or enhanced shielding.

By considering these four factors—room limitations, performance requirements, maintenance requirements, and environmental conditions—you can choose the perfect SATA hard drive cable for your application. If you have similar custom specs manufacturer requirements, no problem, we can help with that. Browse our wide range of SATA solutions and find the perfect connectivity device for your storage system.
