Design Features

Our SATA Data Cables are precision-molded and feature gold-plated contacts (15 μ thick) that provide high signal integrity and corrosion resistance. The cables feature a double-shielded EMI design with aluminum foil and braided copper shielding to resist EMI, RFI, and static noise in electrically noisy environments. Rugged latch system endures over 10,000 mating cycles; right-angle (host/device-side) connectors offer easy installation and good cable retention in cramped spaces. Conforming to the SATA III standard, the cables are also backwards compatible with 3GBps and 1.5GBps devices, both for connections to the cable or at a device end, and connect from your motherboard to VGA devices such as graphics video cards at their PCI-Express interfaces. Flexible jacket for easy routing and installation while maintaining resistance to wear and tear.

Application

These thicker-gauge cables are perfect for high-throughput data transfer across various environments, including desktops/workstations (hooking up SSDs and hard drives to the motherboard), data server storage arrays, industrial automation equipment, and DIY gaming rigs. They provide dependable connectivity for boot drives and storage expansion, with a backup, for applications requiring a high-IOPS data device. The 90-degree versions are especially useful for small cases where regular connectors may cause cable strain and/or interference.

Quality & Testing

Each cable is then subjected to signal integrity testing at 6 Gbps, mechanical tests (bend testing and latching durability), and environmental testing (thermal cycling and moisture resistance). We are compliant with CE/RoHS and SATA-IO standards, and we support EMI shielding beyond industry requirements. Impedance matching and pull-force testing at the batch level to ensure a long life with stable performance.

Customisation Options

We provide personalized customization through various lengths (up to 2m), connector angles (straight/right-angle mix), jacket color customization, and logo laser engraving. OEM/ODM customers, or we can help design a customer-specific solution for you, whether that is locking latches for use in high-vibration environments, unique shielding required in industrial applications, or packaging that matches retail/distribution requirements. The MOQs are flexible for your custom project.

Installation Guide

  • Turn off the system power and remove all power sources.
  • Line up the L Part of the SATA data cable with the motherboard/Device Port.
  • Push in hard until the latch snaps into place (don’t force anything).
  • Run the cable away from sharp edges or hot surfaces.
  • Fasten the surrounding cables with ties to reduce strain on the connectors.
  • Power on the system and check whether the device is detected in BIOS/OS.

Note: This is only used for hot-swap. If your motherboard does not support hot-swap, do not use it.

User Experience

One user said the latches are solidly built, preventing inadvertent detachment during maintenance, and that hardware-supported plugging in is a plug-and-play feature. The right-angle connectors make cable management simple and crossing-free cabling in tight cases, and the soft jacket can be integrated seamlessly into the system without blocking other components. The reliability of the cables in continuous 24/7 operation is also emphasized by system integrators, who are aware that no signal degradation occurs even in long-term installations. The easily readable length indicators and a user-friendly orientation make installation even easier.

What's the longest your SATA data cable can be?

Includes 18cm, 50cm, or 1m standard length; cable bundle can be made custom for bulk orders; lengths may extend up to 2m.

Are these cables suitable for a SATA II hard disk?

Yes, they are 100% backwards compatible with SATA II (3Gbps) and SATA I (1.5Gbps) devices.

Do right-angle connectors matter for good signal quality?

No, our Right Angle connectors are designed to support 6Gbps and the lossless transfer in this regard.

Can I use these to connect the SSD to the motherboard?

Absolutely. They’re perfect to use with SSDs, HDDs, and optical drives.

How to select the right SATA Data cable for your project?

When selecting a new SATA data cable, there are several distinct types. It is easy to get confused if you are unsure which cable type you need.

Choosing the Right SATA Cables: A well-constructed SATA data cable is essential to preventing data loss and ensuring your builds last. The implications range from data transfer speeds to system stability for B2B clients. Here’s a snapshot to help you decide.

First, verify the interface standard. Make sure the cable you use is SATA III (6 Gbps) for fast speeds when used with SATA III (6 Gbps) HDD or SSD, and it is also backward compatible with SATA I and II. Second, note the orientation and type of connectors. Straight connectors work with typical chassis designs, with right-angle versions to help save space in cramped or high-density systems. Third, consider the cable’s length and shielding. Shorter cables (e.g., 18–50 cm) reduce signal loss for internal builds, and longer options (up to 1 m) are available for tight fits in big cases! Enjoy peace of mind with double-shielded cables ideal for industrial applications.

If you need a specialized application, consider custom options such as locking latches (for vibration-resistant configurations) or length customization.
