Compact Ribbon Connections for Your Board Layout
Custom 2.0mm IDC Ribbon Cable Assemblies
BespokeCable supplies 2.0mm IDC ribbon cables for compact internal equipment connections. The range combines a 2.0mm connector interface with 1.0mm-spaced ribbon conductors and includes configurations from 6 to 50 positions.
A custom length and the right connector exit can make the cable easier to fit beneath a cover or between closely spaced boards. Send your header reference and a route sketch, or show us an existing assembly. We can discuss standard and low-profile options based on the space you actually have.

Product Configurations

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-6
A six-position assembly for a compact matching header. Use it as the starting configuration for your board connection, with length and connector exits adapted to the available internal routing.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-8
This eight-position version keeps a small group of conductors together in a flat cable. The board connector and wiring determine its function; the pin count alone does not specify an interface.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-10
Choose the ten-position cable for the corresponding 2.0mm header geometry. If the equipment has several similar headers, include the board reference or connector marking to identify the intended connection.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-12
A twelve-position option for the selected compact board interface. Show the space above the connector so that the termination and any cover can be considered in the final enclosure.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-14
The fourteen-position assembly supports a defined internal connection with a flat route. A short installation sketch shows which way the ribbon should exit each connector.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-16
A sixteen-position configuration for a matching header. We can discuss the finished length around the assembly sequence, including any reach needed before the boards are secured in place.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-20
This twenty-position cable provides a compact multi-circuit connection. Include intentional open positions in the wiring map instead of assuming that every visible contact carries a signal.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-24
Choose the twenty-four-position version for the actual board layout. A useful sample review checks access to both connectors and the ribbon path with nearby components fitted.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-26
A twenty-six-position option for a specified 2.0mm interface. For a transition to a different connector, send both endpoint references so we can review the required construction separately.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-30
The thirty-position configuration is a suitable starting point for the corresponding header. The cable route and electrical requirements determine the final length and conductor assignment.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-34
This thirty-four-position version uses the compact interface of this range. Do not confuse it with a different-pitch legacy cable just because both assemblies have 34 contacts.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-40
A forty-position assembly for the identified board connector. Labeling helps when several similar cables occupy one enclosure, especially when their connection maps differ.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-44
The forty-four-position version can be discussed for a documented equipment interface. Where the application is a legacy drive connection, identify the full electrical and mechanical requirements rather than ordering by count alone.

P/N: BC-CAI002-G20-50
A fifty-position option for a matching compact header. Allow room for the wider ribbon and its first turn, and include the intended support points in the installation review.

The listed low-profile configuration provides a starting point where connector height is restricted. Use the component drawing to establish what the 5.08mm dimension measures, then evaluate the complete mated height and cable exit in your enclosure.
Compact Pitch With a Defined Mating Interface
The smaller pitch can be useful when board area is limited, provided the PCB already uses the matching interface. It is not a direct replacement for a 2.54mm header. Our 2.54mm IDC range covers that separate connection.
The connector pitch and ribbon spacing describe different parts of this assembly. Keeping both on the drawing helps the selected wire and termination remain consistent.

A Low Profile Option for Restricted Height
The listed 5.08mm configuration is a starting point for a height-sensitive installation. The component drawing must establish the referenced dimension, while the mating header and cable exit determine the installed envelope.
If the cover clearance is tight, show us a section view or a measured photograph. We can discuss the space above the board and the route immediately behind the connector together.
Wiring and Exit Direction Developed Together
Two headers can face different directions while still requiring a straight-through electrical map. Physical orientation and electrical reversal are separate choices, so a phrase such as reversed cable needs a drawing to make it unambiguous.
For a custom transition, identify the connector at each end and the required connections. We can review the practical termination method rather than assume that every map can be made with the same ribbon construction.

That depends on the selected connector. Share the complete header reference so engagement, keying, and height can be compared rather than inferred from the 2.0mm pitch.
No. Pitch is only one dimension. Row arrangement, contact geometry, and polarization must also match the intended connector.
Yes. List each length with its connector orientation and quantity. Separate identifiers are helpful when the finished assemblies otherwise look alike.
We can review a single-ended assembly for your downstream termination method. Include any required stripping, conductor separation, or other preparation in the inquiry.
Yes. Identify the finish or full component number and any mating-part requirements. Then consider availability and suitability for the actual connector.
Yes. A sample helps identify the construction and route. If it has been repaired or is damaged, tell us and include the equipment reference so the intended wiring can be established reliably.

Making Room for a Cable in Compact Equipment
A cable that fits between two loose boards may be difficult to install once the enclosure is complete. Planning the connection around the assembly sequence helps preserve the space benefit of a compact header.
Include the Temporary Assembly Position
If a board must be connected before it is screwed into place, the cable may need more reach during assembly than during operation. A drawing showing both positions can explain the length requirement without adding excessive spare ribbon.
The same applies to a panel that opens for service. Decide whether the cable stays connected while it moves or is unplugged first. Repeated motion needs its own construction review, not an assumption that any ribbon will tolerate it.
Keep Sensitive Connections Away From Avoidable Interference
Share the signal type and nearby electrical environment for a noise-sensitive route. Connector pitch alone does not determine data rate or signal integrity. The conductor assignment, returns, and cable path also matter.
If a specific branded 2.0mm system is already on the board, consider the Molex 87568 Milli-Grid range by its full mating references, not as a generic pitch equivalent.
Use the Sample to Resolve the Tightest Detail
Focus the sample review on the feature most likely to affect assembly: lid clearance, connector access, the first fold, or a short reach between fixed boards. Test the intended electrical function as well as the fit.
For a quotation, an approximate route and board reference are useful even before the final length is signed off. Include your sample requirement and expected quantity so we can discuss a build appropriate to the project stage.
